Overview

DrayTek's VigorAP 710 wireless access point offers a reliable business class entry-level device. Ideal for adding wireless connectivity to an existing LAN, the VigorAP 710 offers an 802.11n WLAN access point with up to 300 Mbps wirless LAN which can be remotely managed through DrayTek's Central Management System.

With multiple levels of wireless security, the VigorAP 710 enables encryption using WEP, WPA, WPA2 (802.11i) allowing adminstrators to restrict access through the access control list (ACL) or MAC hardware address.

For additional user authentication, users can activate 802.1x RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-in User Service) which enables users to remove the need for an external server by centrally managing and storing user names and passwords within the VigorAP 710 setup or, if preferred on an external radius server which can permit time limits, temporary or continuous access as required.

Furthermore, guest WiFi access is provided on a separate isolated SSID with no access to company data/devices.

The DrayTek Vigor VigorAP 710 can act as a standalone wireless access point or added to areas requiring larger coverage or to act as a wireless bridge to other parts of an existing LAN.

Overview

DrayTek's VigorAP 810 wireless access point offers a reliable standalone business-class solution. Ideal for adding wireless connectivity to an existing LAN, the VigorAP 810 offers an 802.11n WLAN access point with up to 300 Mbps wireless LAN which can be remotely managed through DrayTek's central management system.

Being PoE, the wireless access point can be easily powered using an existing PoE switch/injector without needing a power socket.

With 5 ethernet ports, the VigorAP 810 can be placed in AP mode or be wirelessly bridged with other devices to extend the coverage area.

The Vigor 2862AC supports ADSL or VDSL. Alternative WAN ports can instead provide connectivity to Ethernet feeds, secondary xDSL modems or a 3G/4G cellular service using a supported USB adapter. Multiple LAN feeds can be combined for failover or load-balancing.

Support for other professional features such as VLAN tagging, QoS (Quality of Service Assurance), High Availability, DNS Filter, Policy Based Routing, and User Access Control are all included as standard. Hotspot features with customisable branding and wording can be applied to guest network VLANs & SSIDs. If you deploy DrayTek Wireless Access Points, this unit can act as the Central Management controller, or as an access point itself with it's 802.11ac mesh capability.

5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch on the LAN side provides high speed connectivity for servers, other local PCs or for uplink to a larger Ethernet switch. (Gigabit WAN2 is switchable with LAN Port 5*)

Comprehensive security features include content filtering, web application controls and an object based firewall management system.

Footnotes

Not compatible with dLAN or HomePlug AV. Units must be connected to the same electrical circuit to function correctly. Connection via extension strip will degrade/stop functionality and performance.
